OLD MAN ARCHIVES is an art project that captures the everyday conversations of elderly people through field recordings and preserves them on cassette tapes—an irreversible recording medium. By removing personal names and faces, and relying solely on voices and ambient sounds, the project is structured so that anonymous memories gradually emerge. From sound recording and editing to package design and final production, the entire process is handled in-house.
